Fact or Fiction:

Men were not allowed to take courses at Winthrop until Winthrop’s Coeducation Bill was signed into affect in 1974.

Although Winthrop’s charter forbade men from receiving a degree from Winthrop until the Winthrop Coeducation Bill was signed in 1974, men could attend evening classes and summer school sessions. Men attended classes at Winthrop from the first Summer School session in 1898.
