Late this summer the Music Library made a location change. Now they occupy the former Academic Computing Center (ACC lab) space on the second floor of Dacus Library. We’re pleased to have them here and hope you will enjoy their new location.
Here’s what you will find in the Music Library:
- Music scores
- Music reference books
- Private rooms with viewing equipment
- 10 computers (for music research only)
- 1 electronic piano for score reading
- 1 scanning station
If you’re looking for course or textbook reserve items for your music classes you will find those at the Information Commons desk on the main floor of Dacus, where you will also go to check out and return Music Library items. Keep in mind that most books that are on music-related topics will be located within Dacus Library’s general collection rather than in the Music Library. One other thing to note is that it is not possible to print from the computers and scanner in the Music Library, so patrons will have to save information on a thumb drive and print it out from a computer in Dacus library. The Music Librarian, J.L. McDaniel-Milliken, and her student workers are more than happy to help you if you have any questions.
Their normal hours are:
|Mon. – Thurs.||9:00 AM – 9:00 PM|
|Friday||9:00 AM – 6:00 PM|
|Sunday||3:00 PM – 9:00 PM|
