April 9 – 15 is National Library Week. The American Library Association states, “It is a time to celebrate the contributions of our nation’s libraries and librarians and to promote library use and support. All types of libraries – school, public, academic and special – participate.”
“Libraries Transform” is the theme of National Library Week. Although we could list many ways that libraries transform their communities and individuals (we’re not at all biased), we would love to hear from you on how libraries transform! Feel free to post a comment! Maybe it’s a resource or service offered at Dacus Library that has made a big difference in how you’ve succeeded here at Winthrop. Maybe it’s an individual librarian who has opened your eyes to the wealth of quality information available at your fingertips. Whatever it is, we’d love to hear about it!
